In celebration of America’s 250th, he will be speaking on the influence of religion on the American Revolution drawing meaning from both the history of the war and the myths that have emerged from this seminal moment. Commander Tim Demy was a Naval Chaplain for 27 years serving sailors, Marines, and Coastguardsmen. He currently serves at the Naval War College in Newport, RI as an associate professor of military ethics teaching Ethics, International Relations, and Leadership. He has also an academic fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies and he is an advisor for the International Network for the Study of War and Religion in the Modern World.
